Description
In 2017, a Sandhill Crane Family nested in a flooded cow field, and wIth the landowner’s permission, I followed the birds nearly on a daily basis from shortly after the eggs were laid through the birth of the two colts which sadly were lost on the third day of life presumably due to predation. The lives of Sandhill Colts are so precarious and their survival is such a challenge.
