The Wild Florida Sweepstakes (“Wild Florida Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by the Florida Wildlife Federation, Inc., 2545 Blairstone Pines Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32301 (“FWF”). FWF is the source of funds used to award cash prizes or to purchase prizes. Grand prize must be claimed in Tallahassee. No reproduction of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes ticket forms is permitted. Only entries submitted on an official Florida Wildlife Federation ticket stub will be accepted. The Wild Florida Sweepstakes Drawing for the Grand Prize will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 3:00 pm at FWF Headquarters (at the address above), withdrawing supervised by Carroll and Co., Inc., Certified Public Accountants, 2640-A Mitcham Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. All winners notified promptly. Payment not required to win. Presence at drawing not required to win.
The Wild Florida Sweepstakes begins on February 20, 2020, at 12:00 am Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends on December 17, 2020, at 12:00 pm (noon) EST.
All entries for the Wild Florida Sweepstakes drawing must be at FWF Headquarters by 12:00 pm (noon) EST on December 17, 2020.
The Wild Florida Sweepstakes is open to all residents of the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees and Board of Directors of FWF, their advertising and promotion agencies, prize providers, and their immediate family (defined as spouse, parents, children, siblings, and grandparents) and household members of each are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law. FWF reserves the right to verify, in its sole judgment, ticket entrant eligibility. Entries are limited to individuals only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. By participating, the ticket entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of FWF, which are final and binding in all respects.
How To Enter
There are two (2) ways to enter the Wild Florida Sweepstakes:
Enter by Mail
Ticket contributions are $5 each. Six tickets for a $25 contribution gives you an extra chance to win. You can also order 15 tickets for $50, 35 tickets for $100 or 50 tickets for $125 – your best value. Simply use the self-addressed envelope from an official FWF Wild Florida Sweepstakes Mailing that you received in the mail to send in your check and completed ticket stubs. (We’ve enclosed six tickets in each mailing. If you’d like to purchase more, just enclose a check for $50, $100, or $125 and we’ll fill out the additional tickets in your name!) If you receive multiple mailings for this Wild Florida Sweepstakes, please feel free to enter more than once or pass them on to a friend. Also, any person may request a set of six tickets without charge by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Florida Wildlife Federation, 2545 Blairstone Pines Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32301, or, by sending your name and address to email@example.com. Requests must be received by November 29, 2020. No reproduction of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes ticket forms is permitted. All entries become the exclusive property of FWF, and will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by FWF. Payment not required to win. Presence at drawing not required to win. FWF is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Visit www.fwfonline.org (the “Website”) and click on any of the icons for the Sweepstakes located throughout the site, including the Sweepstakes navigation bar at the top of every page. Then click on Wild Florida Sweepstakes. Follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form including your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone, and email address. Ticket contributions are $5 each. Six tickets for a $25 , 15 tickets for $50, 35 tickets for $100 or 50 tickets for $125 – your best value. Each ticket entrant may enter only one (1) time per day. The maximum number of entries per person in the Wild Florida Sweepstakes is 50. Ticket entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any ticket entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, and logins or any other methods will void that ticket entrant’s entries and that ticket entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player. The “authorized account holder” is the person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. FWF is not responsible for: incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by ticket entrants; lost entries or transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic; technical malfunctions of the computer hardware, software, or any combination thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to ticket entrants’ systems. Incomplete entries will be voided. Payment not required to win. Presence at drawing not required to win. All entries become the property of FWF.
By entering the Wild Florida Sweepstakes, you agree to these entry terms and the following legal conditions:
Selection of Potential Winners: Wild Florida Sweepstakes Drawing: The drawing will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 3:00 pm at FWF Headquarters. FWF will randomly select one (1) Grand Prize winner from among all eligible entries received. The Grand Prize is drawn first, followed by the second prizes in order. One (1) replacement ticket is drawn at the end of the Sweepstakes Drawing in the event that for any reason one of the winners cannot be contacted within 30 days. All winners will then move up one spot. (Note: The replacement ticket prize winner will win the last second prize.) All prizes will be awarded.
The sweepstakes drawing is supervised by Carroll and Co., Inc., Certified Public Accountants, 2640-A Mitcham Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
Verification of Potential Winners
Grand Prize winner must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. All potential winners are subject to verification by FWF, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the sweepstakes. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified. The Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone call, mail or email after the drawing. The Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return a Receipt indicating that their prize has been received, and to provide the following information to the Florida Wildlife Federation: the winner’s Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Phone Number, and Social Security Number. This Receipt must be received by the FWF Operations Manager within ten (10) calendar days of the receipt of their prize. FWF is required to report prize winnings of cash or prizes valued at $600 or more to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner will be issued an IRS 1099 tax form in the amount of the prize value as stated herein. Please allow 60 days for delivery of all prizes.
FWF reserves the right to substitute the prizes with another prize of greater or equal value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes for any prize. Winners are also responsible for any applicable costs beyond the value of the prize won.
By accepting a prize, winners consent to FWF’s use of his or her photograph, name, city, and state for promotional and advertising purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.
FWF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or suspend the Wild Florida Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized human intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond FWF’s reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes. In such an event, FWF reserves the right to award the prizes from among the eligible entries received up to the time of impairment. FWF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage FWF’s website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Wild Florida Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, FWF reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. FWF’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
By receipt of the prize, winners agree that FWF, their employees, board of directors, sweepstakes coordinator, attorneys, their advertising and promotion agencies, prize providers, printers or mail houses, agents, or representatives (collectively, the “Companies”) are not liable whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize or from winner’s participation in the Wild Florida Sweepstakes.
Limitations of Liability
In no event will the Companies be responsible or liable for (1) incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by ticket entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Wild Florida Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines or network, hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Wild Florida Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to ticket entrant’s computer, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from ticket entrant’s participation in the Wild Florida Sweepstakes, receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from downloading any material from FWF’s website, regardless of whether the material was prepared by FWF or a third party, and regardless of whether the material is connected to FWF’s website by a hypertext link. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on FWF’s website is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
The Wild Florida Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Ticket entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved with the Companies, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Wild Florida Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, before a court of competent jurisdiction located in Leon County, Florida, which court shall apply the laws of the State of Florida. In any such dispute, ticket entrant shall, under no circumstances, be entitled to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than ticket entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (if any) associated with participating in the Wild Florida Sweepstakes. Ticket entrant hereby waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
