Marney Richards, FWF Education & Outreach Coordinator, will be joined by an expert panel to provide insights on incorporating native plants and wildlife-friendly practices in your outdoor spaces—even HOA-compliant gardening and container gardening. Plus, learn how to certify your yard as a wildlife habitat and get your very own FWF garden sign! Your garden can connect fragmented landscapes and support conservation efforts—so take action with us to help protect Florida’s ecosystems.
Meet our panelists:
George Gann is Executive Director and Chief Conservation Strategist at the Institute for Regional Conservation. With 40+ years of experience in rare plant conservation and ecosystem restoration, George is a leading advocate for ecological gardening and biodiversity in Florida.
Mark Tancig serves as the Commercial & Residential Horticulture Extension Agent for UF/IFAS Leon County. With degrees in Botany and Soil & Water Science, he guides professionals and homeowners in sustainable landscaping and coordinates the Leon County Master Gardener Volunteers.
Nicholas Freeman is founder of Wacca Pilatka, a Northeast Florida landscaping company focused on native plants. He’s passionate about restoring biodiversity and connecting people with Florida’s wild plants and pollinators.
