I stopped the car when I saw the Roseate Spoonbills foraging in the water. I wanted to wait at a reasonable distance until one or more would take flight. I slowly and quietly got into position. I didn’t have to wait long. I focused on one that was close and coming in my direction. I got my wish and my photograph.
