Description
The Florida Scrub Jay is the only bird that is called native to Florida and was put on the endangered species list since 1987 due to loss in habitat. These birds will either mob you or completely avoid you giving only glimpses of blue. Either way, I feel privileged every time that I see them. This area was recently treated with a prescribed burn and the Scrub Jay is perched on a charred tree.
