Description

The globally vulnerable Santa Rosa Wolf Spider (Arctosa sanctaerosae) only lives on dunes along the Gulf of Mexico. While doing surveys for this spider in 2019, I discovered they are biofluorescent under 365 nm UV light. When I went to photograph them with a macro lens, I lucked out and found this proud mama backpacking with her kids across the dunes.
