Description
I was spending a week in Cape Coral, Florida photographing burrowing owls. It was nesting season so there were quite a few feisty owlets around. But them being owls they were super active only when there isn’t much light around. One morning I arrived before dawn. The light was still pretty bad to get any decent shots so I just sat there watching this feisty little one hop skip and jump around. I patiently waited for some light. And as soon as the morning sun hit the burrow, this owlet got tired and got ready to hit bed. As it started yawning against the early morning sun, I quickly positioned myself shooting into the sun and captured this shot.
