This is a picture of a sea turtle veterinarian performing a field exam on a nesting leatherback sea turtle that was entangled with fishing line. She was taking a breath during this image, and the veterinarian was able to examine her oral cavity for any injuries. She was untangled from the fishing line and returned to the ocean after nesting.
