This bird is a beauty, yet it has no interest in having its photo taken. For weeks, I grabbed the camera walked to the local lake in the early morning hours to get a shot and each time I left with nothing as the bird took one glance at me and flew away – every single time. Until the morning I caught it sunning itself. It stood still and allowed me to capture this glorious shot.
